Privacy Policy

QuickYap is made by Locoritech. This policy explains — plainly — what data we handle, why, and who sees it. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't track you, and the app works offline.

What we collect

• Email address — collected by Stripe at checkout so we can send your licence key and receipts.
• Licence key — issued when you buy or start a trial; used to activate the app.
• Device fingerprint — a hardware identifier used only to enforce the 3-device licence limit and the one-trial-per-device rule.

What we don't collect

• No analytics, no usage tracking, no crash reporting sent to us.
• No card details — those go to Stripe directly; we never see or store them.
• No recordings — your microphone audio is transcribed on your own Mac by an on-device model and never leaves your machine.

Who handles your data

• Stripe — payment processing (they see card details; we see email + amount).
• Resend — delivers your licence-key email.
• Our licence server (self-hosted) — stores licence key, device fingerprint, and purchase email for activation and support.
• Backblaze B2 — hosts the app download files.

Retention

Licence records are kept for as long as your licence exists (or for subscription history, as required for accounting). Trial fingerprints are kept to prevent trial abuse.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (note: deleting your licence record deactivates your licence). Email support@quickyap.com.
